Our Story

The Roots of McDuffie Sanitation

In 1998, my grandparents founded this company. They named it A-1 McDuffie Sanitation so that it would be listed first in the phone book. I joined their venture in 2009. Over the past 20 years our company has evolved, but our core values have not changed:

  • Honor God with all that we do.
  • Healthy things grow.
  • We’re not a sanitation company. We’re a people company that offers a sanitation service.

In 2014, we ordered our first shipment of 96-gallon pink carts. Five dollars from each pink cart go to the American Breast Cancer Society.

Next, we decided we wanted to give our customers another option that could make a difference. In December of 2014, we ordered our first shipment of 96-gallon black carts with a red lid. This is our mission cart and five dollars from each of these carts go toward a local non-profit.

We’ve been dependable and reliable for the past 21 years, and we plan to do that for many more. We have exceptional residential service and we are starting to grow and take on more commercial clients as well. We thank each and every person who’s helped make all of this happen. If it weren’t for our hardworking employees and our fantastic customer base none of this would be possible, so thank you.

We aren’t a garbage company, we are a people company
We love to see our bright pink black cans lining the streets. Starting in 2014, we wanted to give our customers the option of a colored can with a purpose. We received our first shipment and announced our “kick cancer to the curb” pink breast cancer awareness cans. When people purchase our pink cans, we donate $5 from each can to the American Breast Cancer Society.

$5 from each black can is donated to a local cause. Take a look at some of the awesome donations we have made!
